What is the DSSSB Exam?

The DSSSB full form is Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board, it is in charge of administering the recruitment examinations for a variety of government positions in the National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCT of Delhi). Exams for PGT, TGT, Primary Assistant Teacher, Nursery Assistant Teacher, Counselor, Jr. Secretariat Assistant (LDC), Head Clerk, Patwari, JE, AE, and other positions are held annually by the DSSSB. Each year, the board publishes an official notice announcing the availability of a variety of positions at various levels. After confirming that they meet the DSSSB’s eligibility requirements, applicants for a specific position can submit their applications. DSSSB is a special recruitment agency for qualified candidates for various Delhi-based positions.

DSSSB Eligibility Criteria

DSSSB eligibility requirements vary based on the post for which a candidate applies, as specified in the official announcement. The DSSSB eligibility criteria for various posts in 2022 are as follows:

    • A candidate for the DSSSB TGT position must have passed the CTET exam and hold a bachelor’s degree in addition to a degree or diploma in training education.
    • For the DSSSB PRT position, candidates must have passed Class 12 with a minimum of 50 percent along with a Diploma in Elementary Education (DEd) and CTET certification.
    • Candidates for the position of DSSSB Assistant Teacher Nursery must pass the secondary education with NTT training or the BEd Nursery exams.
    • The DSSSB Manager (Civil) position requires a degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution.
    • Candidates for the position of DSSSB Chief Clerk must have a Bachelor’s degree and computer skills.
    • Candidates for DSSSB Patwari must hold a Bachelor’s degree.

  • Age limit: Candidates must be between 18 and 32 years of age, per the DSSSB’s age limit. The age limit defined may vary for the different posts offered under DSSSB.

Some important points to note about the syllabus:

  • DSSSB reserves the right to establish a minimum qualifying score for any position.
  • Subject to the number of vacancies/applicants, six to ten times the number of vacancies will be called for the Tier 2 examination.
  • Depending on the requirements of the job, a skills or stamina examination will be administered.
  • In two-tier examinations, only candidates who pass Tier 1 will be considered for Tier 2. The selection will be based solely on the Tier 2 examination.
  • In three-tier examinations, only candidates who pass Tier 1 will be considered for Tier 2. The selection will be based on the Tier 2 examination and the interview.
  • In three-tier examinations, if there are four or more vacancies, three times the number of vacancies will be invited for an interview. If there are fewer than four vacancies, candidates numbered 5, 8, and 10 will be invited to an interview.

Step 1: Register on DSSSB

Candidates must initially register as new users on the exam’s official website. For this, candidates must follow the steps outlined below:

  • Visit the DSSSB’s official website at dsssbonline.nic.in.
  • Select the “Click for New Registration” link.
  • Enter your date of birth, 10th grade enrollment number, and 10th grade graduation year.
  • Select Submit
  • Enter your name, parents’ or spouse’s names, gender, nationality, mobile phone number, email address, and registration password
  • Read the assignment and then check the box at the bottom of the page.
  • Select Submit
  • Take note of  the registration id and password for the DSSSB
  • Select Proceed

Step 2: Fill in the application form for DSSSB

Applicants must then log in to their registered accounts and begin filling out the application form by following the steps listed below.

  • Visit the official DSSSB website.
  • Enter the displayed registration number, password, and security code
  • Select Sign in
  • Select the Apply tab
  • Click the Apply Now button for the position for which an application is required.
  • Type in both your temporary and permanent addresses here.
  • Choose a category
  • Checkmark the Declaration box

  • Upload scanned images of your photo, signature, and left and right thumb impressions according to the following specifications:

Step 3: Pay the application fees

After completing the application form, candidates must pay the application fee online (via SBI e-pay) according to the position they are applying for. The DSSSB application fee for the majority of positions is 100 INR. In addition, candidates who belong to the Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Persons with Disabilities (PwD), and Ex-serviceman categories do not have to pay the application fee.

DSSSB Exam Fees

Candidates applying for the DSSSB Exam 2022 must pay the application fees online in order to submit their application. In the absence of application fees, the commission will immediately reject the application. Consequently, application fees must be paid to the DSSSB.

The DSSSB has waived application fees for the aforementioned backward categories. Candidates in the UR and OBC categories can pay their application fees online via any of the following methods:

DSSSB Admit Card

The Delhi Subordinate Services Selection Board (DSSSB) has issued the DSSSB admit card 2022 for the recruitment exams scheduled from April 1 to April 23, 2022, for the posts of Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA) and Technical Assistant (Modern Office Practice) Hindi. Candidates can now obtain their DSSSB admit card by visiting the organization’s official website and entering their application number and date of birth. On the day of the examination, candidates must bring their DSSSB admit card to the test center.

Steps to download Admit card

To download their admit card for the DSSSB exam, candidates must adhere to the below instructions:

Step 1: Navigate to the board’s official website.

Step two: Click the link for the admit card

Step 3: Enter the following information:

  • Request/record number
  • Age at birth
  • Security number (as visible on the screen)

Step 4: Click to Generate e-Admit Card’ in the fourth step.

Step 5: View and download the DSSSB admit card in PDF format as the fifth step.

Step 6: Print DSSSB admit card.

DSSSB Answer Key

  • Junior Secretariat Assistant- JSA (44/21) and Technical Assistant (09/21) recruitment examinations were held in April 2022. The DSSSB has released the answer key for the examinations. Applicants can now download the answer key by following the steps listed below:

DSSSB Result

From June 15 to July 31, 2022, the DSSSB will release the results of examinations administered in 2021. Applicants can now check their results by visiting the official website:

DSSSB Cut off

The board releases the DSSSB Cutoff 2022 alongside the result. Post- and category-specific cutoffs are published for General Category/ UR Category, SC, ST, OBC, EWS, and PwD categories. Candidates who achieve the minimum passing score pass the examination. However, meeting the cutoff doesn’t really guarantee candidates’ employment. After passing the examination, candidates must submit their documents for the verification procedure.

1.  What are the DSSSB exam’s minimum passing scores?

Ans. The minimum qualifying scores for DSSSB PRT written examinations (objective/descriptive type) in 2022 are as follows: 

  • General: 40 percent

2.  Is CTET required for DSSSB?

Ans. According to the DSSSB’s official announcement, all students who wish to take the TGT examination are required to pass the CTET. Candidates without the CTET certification will not be permitted to take the examination.

3.  Is the PGT exam held annually?

Ans. Multiple states administer PRT PGT TGT examinations annually to select qualified candidates for Primary Teacher, Trained Graduate Teacher, and Post Graduate Teacher positions.

4.  Is DSSSB a bilingual exam?

Ans. Yes, the examination questions will be bilingual (Hindi and English), with the exception of the language papers, which will be administered exclusively in the respective language.

5. Are B.ed candidates eligible for the position of Primary Assistant Teacher?

Ans. No, only candidates who meet the following requirements may apply for the position of primary assistant teacher:

Diploma in primary education certificate course in ETE/JBT/DIET/B.El.Ed. from a recognized institution for a duration of two years or Graduation and a two-year elementary education diploma (under any known name) from a recognized Board. The candidate must have obtained a passing score on the Central Teacher Eligibility Test.
